The Sur-Ron Light Bee X is lighter (110 lbs vs ~145 lbs), has the largest US aftermarket ecosystem, and is more beginner friendly. The Talaria Sting R has more peak power (11 kW vs 8 kW), a higher seat, and 4 levels of regenerative braking. Yes. Sur-Ron, Talaria, Segway, and other China-origin brands are subject to US import tariffs of up to 25%, which can raise retail prices by 10–25%. All prices shown are current estimates and may change. We recommend confirming the latest confirmed price with us before placing a large order.
Legal & Registration
Most models (Sur-Ron, Talaria, Segway X260) are sold for off-road, private land use only and are not street legal. They do not meet NHTSA motor vehicle safety standards. California Section 436.1 (November 2025) now classifies electric dirt bikes as off-highway motorcycles requiring green sticker OHV registration for public OHV land. Some models can be registered for street use with state-specific modifications and certifications (e.g., Stark Varg EX, Zero FX). See our State Laws Guide →
For off-road private land: generally no license, registration, or insurance is required in most US states. For public OHV land: check state OHV certification requirements. For street use: motorcycle license required. Most states require riders to be at least 16 to operate bikes exceeding 20 mph on public land. Always verify your specific state's current laws.

Approximately 80% assembled. Final setup (typically handlebars and any accessories) takes 20–30 minutes with basic hand tools. A full setup guide is included. Contact our team if you need help with assembly.
