The 2025 model brings upgraded peak power to 8 kW with a new FOC sinewave controller for smoother, more linear delivery and improved efficiency. The 40Ah Samsung 50S battery pack delivers real-world range of up to 47 miles in Eco mode.

Is the Sur-Ron Light Bee X street legal?
No. The Light Bee X is designed and sold for off-road, private land use only. It does not meet NHTSA standards for street use. California riders need a green sticker OHV registration under Section 436.1 (Nov 2025) for public OHV land.
What is the difference between Light Bee X and Ultra Bee HP?
The Ultra Bee HP has far more power (21 kW vs 8 kW in Turbo), traction control, swappable battery, reverse gear, and 5 riding modes vs 3. The Light Bee X is 33 lbs lighter and $3,000 cheaper — ideal for beginners.
Can a teenager ride the Light Bee X?
With supervision, yes — experienced riders 14+ can handle it in Eco mode. Most US states require 16+ for bikes exceeding 20 mph on public OHV land. Always check your state laws.
How long does the battery last?
The 60V/40Ah battery lasts 500–1,000 charge cycles (roughly 3–5 years of regular use). Replacement batteries are available from VoltTrack.
